TIMELINE
A trial will give you the opportunity to decide the color by going a little lighter or a little darker on your big day. You may be wanting a light glow or to just even-out your skin tone. On the other hand, you may really want some extra color! There is no wrong way to glow when it comes to your special day.
My suggestion is schedule your trial tan before your makeup trial, this will help the makeup artist select the perfect foundation shade for your wedding day tan. Please be sure to have at least 14 days in-between your trial and wedding day tan to ensure all previous spray tan is off your skin. You don't want to spray tan over old tan. Pay attention to how your spray tan “wears”. Where and how does it fade? Did you like the color?
For the best results, schedule your appointment two or three days before your wedding. Get all spa treatments done PRIOR to your tanning session. This includes facials, pedicures, manicures, eye lashes, hair appointments, massages and waxing (waxing should be done 1-2 days before).
A good full body exfoliation within 24 hours prior to your appointment will provide significantly better results. A loofah does NOT provide adequate exfoliation. I recommend using dry sugar on your wet skin at the end of your shower, then rinse. Many store-bought scrubs contain oils which can leave a film of moisturizer/oil on your skin, blocking the absorption of the DHA (tanning solution) which often results in an uneven color. Shave the day before your appointment but a minimum of 8 hours prior is fine.
Please come to your appointment with clean, bare skin along with dark loose clothing to wear after your session.
